Mid-century high end Robert Sonneman articulated table lamp.(1970's) The base is usually painted on this model, this one has a quite rare raw metal base plate instead. The original embedded dimmer function perfectly. The height adjusts 53cm to 91 cm, arm and shade adjust.

Yasha Heifetz

Adjustable brass and walnut wood hanging lamp with Rotoflex shade, designed by Yasha Heifetz (USA) and probably manufactured by Light House Lamp and Shade Company of Los Angeles in the fifties. In 1950, Yasha Heifetz co-sponsored a national contest with the MOMA to change Marcel Breuer opinion’s about lighting which he thought to be unnecessary in his Moma exhibition since modern lamps were not well-designed. Ten wining designs were subsequently manufacturered by Heifetz company and earning fame for its company and changing Breuer’s mind about modern lighting.

Rotoflex is Cellulose acetate, an early acrylic.
